Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18th, 1985, in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and Her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the first day she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix came in second place in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for professional work with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an unofficial Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the 200m race. She was able to defend the title at the 2007 World Championships, winning over her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three throughout her events during the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
